Inaugurated commercial generation of Muzaffarpur Thermal Power Station Stage 1 (110 MW) & NTPC - Barh Unit IV (660MW) Power Plants. Central Government is fully committed to holistic development of Bihar. With commissioning of both the units of Muzaffarpur Thermal Power Station, 100% power supply of 220 MW is available to Bihar which will support industrial activity in the district. Another 264 MW is allocated to State from Stage-II of the project which is under construction. Barh project is being implemented for development of Bihar which will get 1884 MW (1025 MW and 859 MW respectively from two stages) from the project which is nearly 57% of the total project capacity. This includes the recent additional allocation of 701 MW from this project by the Ministry of Power to the State as per their request.
