Inbox- Private post please. I received a letter today from the job centre saying I owe £3062 as I was NOT entitled to income support from 25/12/12 till now. BUT I WAS!! Me and my partner broke up just before Xmas last year, I lived on a hostel with my son till about the middle of January so I was only there about a month. This was effecting my son so I said to my sons Dad that Id come back and live with him but Im not getting back together with him ad Im not ready. We slept in separate beds in separate rooms and I told EVERYTHING to the job centre and they said ok thats fine. We had to move in February due to the house being unsafe to live in (still not a couple) and again separate beds in separate rooms. My sons Dad got a job in July, told job centre and as I WAS NOT living of his income job centre said ok thats fine and I had a couple of interviews just to explain our living situation. We didnt get back together until a few weeks ago so I rang job centre straight away and told them and they said Thank you well inform everyone then I get a letter saying I owe 3ks worth of over paid income support WHAAAAAT HELP?!
