Incidentally, supplement to my last status. I dont consider myself a horror writer. I consider myself a realistic dramatist of the worst shit that could conceivably happen in this lifetime. Brushing up against the nightmare of Existence in a more or less disguised form. Do I think things like what happen in my stories actually do occur? Maybe theyre slightly distorted through the use of symbolic events and characters, but I basically do feel that if they arent literally true, theyre closer to factual than the average mundane documentary film. Ive got none of the agendas those have, I just want to give people a glimpse behind the curtain of the world, where the Wizard pulling the strings isnt a goofy little old man, but a formless and ineffable sentient dread that would make Cthulhu piss himself in terror. Thats all. :)
