Incoming rant, and request for help at the end - Theres a cat at the Tacoma Humane Society that looks like Speck. Its possible that someone could have picked her up and she somehow got away or transported south. The cat has been there since July 18. Ive been trying ALL GOD DAMN MORNING to get someone on the phone at the Humane Society, to ask if this cat has the one distinguishing mark that Speck has (notch in her left ear). Every option you press, once greeted by the infuriating recorded voice, is followed by seemingly endless recorded information that YOU! MUST! LISTEN! TO! Try to get a live person on the phone? Sure. Try it. I dare you. Sit and listen to their horrible recorded chipper happy music (target audience: children who watch Smile Time) for 20 minutes, only to hear another computer voice tell you Sorry, theres nobody to take your call and then get punted into an endless loop of voices that tell you over and over again (with no input from you) Transferring you to an operator ... sorry, that isnt a valid option ... transferring you to an operator ... sorry, that isnt a valid option ... So ya hang up. Dial again. Listen to the same voices. Listen to the same recordings. Watch the clock. Sharpen some knives. Is there ANYBODY in Tacoma who has some free time on their hands willing to go check out this kitty? Im in Seattle without a car. I just need to know if its her. Hit me up?
