Indeed a Porbortan reached the land of Bengal.Even if you discount all Lefts major achievements like Land reforms and establishing institution of Local Governments..etc one cant disagree with two major achievement of Lefts rule- 1)All the Legislatures and Ministers who held office were largely untouched by any scams even after the long stint in the office.The fact that not a single allegation of substance or a single charge (on issues related to corruption)was leveled against any of the ministers of previous government by Present TMC government is an ample testimony to the track record of Left Governments.Now TMC indeed brought a significant poribortan in this and put WB on the par with many other states whose leaders spent most of the time attending courts. 2)Maintaining Communal harmony even when whole Nation found it difficult to contain communal clashes was not an easy job.West Bengal, with such a huge minority population is a fertile ground for politics of communal polarization and politics of hate.Yet,Left was able to keep all the right wing forces at arms length and was able to keep communal harmony all these years .But just in 3 years of time TMC gave away ground to all sorts of Communal forces which indeed a poribortan in WBs standards. I forgot to add one more..... 3) Forget about CM,One cant imagine the language of pechoney Baansh coming from any of the Lefts leaders.I guess not even during off the record chats.But indeed a poribortan reached Bengal.A Baansh they Chose to bring Poribortan indeed struck them and they know where it struck them.
