India Postal Department announces recruitment for 8243 vacant posts by EXAMS CORNER Department of Posts - Total Vacancies: 8243 Posts ONLINE REGISTRATION FOR POSTAL ASSISTANT / SORTING ASSISTANT EXAMINATION 2014 India Post Logo Applications are invited form the eligible persons for filling the vacancies of Postal Assistants / Sorting Assistants/Postal Assistants (Savings Bank Control Organization) / Postal Assistants (Foreign Post Organization) / Postal Assistants (Returned Letter Offices) / Postal Assistants (Mail Motor Services) and Postal Assistants (Circle and Regional Offices) for the year 2013 - 2014 in 22 Postal Circles in the Country. Eligibility: The candidates must have cleared 10+2 standard or 12th class from a recognized university with English as a compulsory subject (excluding vocational streams). He/she should have the knowledge of the language of the concerned region for which they are applying. Selection Procedure: An aptitude test will be conducted for 100 marks covering subjects: General Knowledge, Mathematics, English and Analytical Skills. A computer/typing test for 30 minutes will also be held.
