India Violated LoC 59 Times This Year, killing 9 soldiers & 4 civilians: Sheikh Aftab ISLAMABAD: Pakistans Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab said on Friday that India committed severe violations of Line of Control ceasefire 59 times this year, killing 9 soldiers and 4 civilians. Speaking in the Pakistani National Assembly, he said one soldier and 4 civilians were killed, and 13 troops and 35 civilians were injured by Indian firing last year. Sheikh Afab said Pakistan had nothing to do with yesterday’s attack in Indian held Jammu, adding that elements opposed to Pak- India ties were out to blame Pakistan for the incident. He expressed the hope that a scheduled meeting between Prime Ministers of the two countries would help normalize the bilateral ties.(CNBC)
