Indian Army has released notification for enrolment on grant of 45th Short Service Commission (Tech) for married/unmarried Male and Female candidates (including widows of defence personnel for tech & non-tech entry) engineering gradutes in the Indian Army in all Arms/Services. The enrolment is for the course commencing in Oct 2015 at Officers Training Academy (OTA),Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The applications for the enrolment should be received latest by 30 Jan 2015 at 1700 HRS. The Indian Armed Forces are the federal military forces of the Republic of India. It consists of four professional uniformed services: the Indian Army, Indian Navy, Indian Air Force and Indian Coast Guard. The Indian Armed Forces are under the management of the Ministry of Defence (MoD), which is led by the Union Cabinet Minister of Defence. With strength of over 1.3 million active personnel, it is world’s 3rd largest military force and the largest standing volunteer army in the world. For Widows of Defence Personnel Entry Qualification Vacancy Remarks SSCW(Non Tech) Graduation in any discipline 01 Non UPSC Entry SSCW (Tech) B.E./B.Tech in any Stream 01 SSCW(T)-16 Course Pay Scale The candidates will be given a stipend of Rs. 21,000/- p.m. (Rs 15,600/- as pay in Pay Band plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/-). How to Apply Candidates are required to register themselves online on joinindianarmy.nic.in. No other mode of application is acceptable. Selection Procedure Candidates will be shortisted and cutoff percentage of marks for each discipline will be fixed by Integrated HQ of MoD(Army). Only shortlisted eligible candidates depending on the cutoff percentage will be interviewed. Interviews will be held in May/Jun 2015 onwards. Candidates will put through two stage selection procedure. Those who clear Stage I will go to Stage II. Those who fail in Stage I will be returned on the same day.
