Indian cinema has played a pivotal role in shaping the current societal structure, however we have not maintained the decorum and prestige of the Indian cinema and Bollywood directors have restricted themselves only to such commercial movies which can make profit in a true sense. I have a strong urge to the ministry of information and broadcasting for the revival of Indian cinema. I would appreciate if Bollywood comes up with movies over how the creation of Bangladesh was done rather making movies like 1971, which hardly reflects any such significant role of Indian soldiers and Indian politics in shaping and creating such a country. India had such a glorious past and we are still unknown to it, how shameful is it. Some of the directors in the past tried to come up with such movies, i would appreciate shyam benegal for making such a wonderful series over Indian past, ( bharat ek khoj ) ....but why it couldnt carry on further.
