While speaking to The Gulf Today on the sidelines of the World Brands Summit 2014 held in Dubai, Medhaj’s company director Gunjan Tripathi disclosed that over the years, the award-winning company has stood as a top consulting firm, especially in the regulatory area in the power sector across India and as provider of infrastructure advisory services. Medhaj were also the recipient of the World Brands in Dubai, as one of the promising entrepreneurs in the Power distribution category. Medhaj, headquartered in Lucknow, is repositioning itself as a top service provider in consulting, IT, Business process outsourcing (BPO) lines of business. The company recently launched its News App, known as Medhaj News alongside a production house that will effectively serve entire India. Gunjan, who was also flanked by Samir Tripathi, Chairman cum Managing Director of the company, disclosed that the company, established 7 years ago, serves 16 States across India with works representing top government power schemes. The director says he has an ambitious plan build Medhaj into a most trusted brand across the globe serving its clients and employees efficiently. “Following our success in India, we are now venturing into other countries, such as the Middle East, West and East Africa, by providing services in sectors like IT, Power and Media in a bid to leverage our project execution skills to newer heights,” explained Gunjan. “In the last seven years we have worked extensively for the government funded schemes especially in the power sector. We have worked on schemes which have been rolled out by the government, for the larger benefit of society and as a consultant it was our responsibility to apprise the various stakeholders of the progress of the schemes, and to effectively monitor the scheme in a cost-effective and time-bound manner,” explained Gunjan. He mentioned that these achievements have been the manifestation of the company’s thrust on delivering cutting edge consultancy solutions to the clients. He added that a close and synergistic relationship with the Indian government and corporations and abroad has been the firm’s complementary strength. Asked what attributes to the company’s overall success, Gunjan disclosed that the company continues to grow, and has always exhibited strong performance amidst challenging markets and circumstances. As regards to competition in the Indian market, Gunjan quipped that there are a few consultants in India, who can provide such end-to-end solutions to the power sector clients with Medhaj being one of them. “Having spread our footprint across all the major segments in the power sector value chain across the Indian States, it is now time to divert our attention internationally, starting with the Middle East and Africa region,” was Gunjan’s parting shot.
