Indiana Mod Lites Next to Partner with Bilstein Modified Lite STARS International Racing Series SOMERSET, PA (March 25, 2014) – Officials of the BILSTEIN Modified Lite STARS Championship Tour are pleased to announce the partnership with the Indiana Mod Lite Association. Bill Bauer, President of Competition & Racing Operations of the Bilstein Modified Lite STARS series announced today that the Indiana Mod Lite Association will fall under the Modified Lite STARS International Association regional program. At the start of the 2014 season the Indiana group voted in the STARS rules and after talking with Todd Padgett we were able to come up with their STARS Regional program which will fall under the Great Lakes Region. It’s what that Bilstein Modified Lite STARS program is all about supporting organizations like the Indiana club with sponsorship and contingencies programs. We focus on working with each organization providing guidance and allowing them to run their own program and set of rules. We talk with many clubs and race tracks about mod lite racing and with the forming of the Modified Lite STARS International Association we bring more stability and numbers to our sponsors. The 2013 season was very successful that saw more than 230 different drivers competing for regional and national points. Our best estimates are that because of sponsorship support we were able to pay out more than $200,000 in cash and awards. Bauer stated that Mr. Padgett will oversee the Great Lakes Region and has already put together an excellent program working with track promoters at several tracks in the Indiana area.
