Indie Throwback Pick for 8/26 Artist: Bishop Allen Two longtime friends/musicians Justin Rice and Christian Rudder with a rotating cast of musicians consist of the indie band Bishop Allen. The name of the band comes from the road that the two best friends grew up on in Cambridge Massachusetts. In 2003 the band released their self-recorded debut album Charm School but it wasn’t until 2006 when the band began releasing an EP record each month that people started to notice. They band performed in a scene in the movie “Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist” , a movie that helped to get other bands like Vampire Weekend noticed. Just last week, Bishop Allen Released their new album Lights Out, but since this is indie throwback pick, I chose a song from their 2007 album The Broken String. https://youtube/watch?v=99RRlAnL4_o
