Indie films as they are now called (Unlike the early 00s and before where they were simply B-movies) are the places to go for decent horror nowadays. The main problem is, Hollywood seems to have run out of ideas. Yes Hollywood. As in Collective. I know when you think of it it doesnt really make sense but look at the mainstream horror movies (not genre movies, I hate that term) out there that are original stories. There are a few, but most are remakes, the original ones usually crap. But then there are films like this: The Babadook. Which seems to play out that this thing from a book is real and it kills. Watching the trailer reminded me of a little known film starring Clive Owen called Intruders, which to be honest wasnt that bad. Then theres Lord Of Tears, which you need to google. The trailer makes it look a brilliant film with a brilliant creature. A slender type man with an Owl like head. You would shit yourself quite honestly if it were real. And its now scaring people on Chatroulette as previously mentioned by FEARnet. So theres another two Im looking forward to this year.
