Indie singer-songwriter and activist Koji will be teaming up with Charity: Water and Doctors Without Borders this fall to raise money and awareness to help combat the deadly Ebola outbreak in West Africa. Visit his Bandcamp here: kojisaysaloha.bandcamp Beginning today, Koji will be giving away his entire discography, including his 2013 debut full-length Crooked In My Mind, on Bandcamp in exchange for donations that will be given directly to Charity: Water and Doctors Without Borders to help support their efforts in the region. A lack of clean water and health care personnel and supplies are major roadblocks to stopping the spread of Ebola. Over 1,500 people have died in Guinea, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Senegal, and the Democratic Republic of Congo due to the virus and the outbreak is outpacing efforts to contain it. When people come together, they can make a huge difference,” says Koji. “There is a crisis happening in west Africa and it deserves more attention. I’m grateful that I can use my music to get people engaged with this issue and the important work that organizations like Doctors Without Borders and Charity: Water do. Koji is known for his outspoken activism and even went as far as founding COLORMAKE, an organization that brings together artists and activist across the country to help promote various causes through art, music, festivals and other events. His passion for raising awareness for social, political and environmental injustices shines bright through the heartfelt and thoughtful music he performs. Additionally, Koji has also announced an updated routing for his headlining fall tour with Allison Weiss, Chris Farren (of Fake Problems) and Lee Corey Oswald, which will kick off later this month.
