Indirect Materials Manager Location:Região de Campinas, Sao Paulo BR Job Description Responsible to lead and manage SCM sourcing strategy development and deployment for maintenance, repair and operating (MRO), materials and services, and Facility Services (~$150M) across all countries and business groups in South and Central America region (17 plants) in alignment with the Corporate SCM team in WHQ. Responsible for directly manage the Factory Services (MRO & Facility Services) commodity managers in the sourcing, supplier selection and supplier performance and manage all local plant buyers as well, to assure stakeholders requirements have been satisfied. Responsible to direct and to manage whole Category and supervise contract management for all related commodities. Manage organization and supplier expectations through supplier management process. Build world class supplier base, also promoting Globally Competitive Regions and Supplier Development Processes.. Responsible to define sub-regional requirements and lead the regional selection and relationship building with key suppliers to leverage Eaton’s purchases and reduce costs across all business units. Provide regional leadership, management and oversight for the Factory Services commodity on a regional basis (SCA). Give leadership guidance both to the team and organization. Set smart goals. Work across the regions with other regional peers to find the best solutions and transferable processes Responsibility for defining suppliers as either ‘strategic’ or ‘preferred’ partners for MRO and Facilities Services and sponsor spend migration to these preferred suppliers Support EBE deployment and certification of the organization Continuously enhance organizational capability by recruiting and retaining top notch talents and providing world class, challenging, work environment and development programs. A. Develop regional strategy for Factory commodities and support extended team to ensure deployment of programs within cost, time, & quality requirements. B. Collaborate, leverage, negotiate, and deploy MRO and Facility contracts/programs that satisfy stakeholder requirements and reduce the total cost of materials and services C. Analyze, prepare and present business case justification for sourcing solutions and/or resource expenditure on proposed initiatives to appropriate levels of management D. Drive MRO and Facilities Services Commodity Managers in creating long-term supplier relationships as well as long term contracts that lead to optimal pricing, quality improvements, process improvements, on-time delivery and total cost reductions E. Lead his team to consolidate major purchases among plants to explore synergies to assure the best possible sourcing and procurement agreements while reducing regional supplier base. F. Build strong relationships with stakeholders in all levels, mainly with high users of Professional Services to assure long term regional contracts usage and capture optimal total costs for the region G. Lead MRO & Facilities team to develop, align and deploy effective key commodity strategies to positively impact associated annual spend and savings as well as improve suppliers capabilities H. Monitors and reports Operations’ compliance to commodity agreements and strategy I. Develop functional strategies for sub-commodity councils involving stakeholders such as Engineering, Maintenance, OPEX, and establish regional cross-functional, multi operation, supplier selection process teams J. Lead introduction of electronic tools to perform effective purchases (i-procurement, e-auctions etc) K. Assist Commodity Managers in negotiating difficult situations, winning concessions without damaging relationships. Settles differences with a minimum of conflict, while being forceful, diplomatic and gaining trust L. Lead performance management & coaching in personal / management development of associates / team, ensuring effective development plans, including SCM curriculum use and deployment. Also includes career planning & mentoring Basic Qualifications (Including Educational Requirements) Education / Experience • Possess a BS degree in Engineering, Business or Supply Chain Management. • MBA preferred • Professional experience in Procurement, Engineering, or Operations • Fluent English mandatory, Spanish preferred. Preferred Knowledge and Training • Have good understanding of current trends in Supply Chain Management related to Indirect Materials and Services • Understands technical specifications, product and service performance requirements, manufacturing processes, maintenance process, and end user expectations. • Possesses intimate knowledge of labor industry trends and risks • Knowledge of regional market characteristics • Possesses strong negotiation and supplier management skills. • Ability to develop and negotiate effective commercial contracts on behalf • Knowledge of Six Sigma methodology, LEAN tools and TPM • Has e-Procurement implementation experience • Possesses an intimate knowledge of global supplier program management. • Has led virtual teams or functioned in a regional environment. • Has a combination of plant, division, and/or corporate SCM experience. • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage resources, team performance and coaching • Understands international tax, duty, tariff implications for global commodities. ccarneiro77@gmail
