Individualism and selfishness are two major factors that contribute towards discords in marriages. In such an environment, the law becomes the most powerful and deadly force in the hands of satan used to wreck marriages, scatter families, cause unrest in communities and breed civil wars in nations. In this world, the law is everything and it is used without regard for the needs and interests of the other. It is used to oppress, destroy and to kill. As theJewish men used the law to pursue their own desires, they forgot the needs of their wives in the process. Jesus reminded them that in the beginning it was not like that. They had lost the purpose. They behaved as if they were the only ones in the world. May this not be the order of your marriage. May love and unity become the cornerstone of your marriage.
