Individuals Identity Sought in Possible Connection to the Stolen Gun That Killed Tarpon Springs Police Officer - Please Like, Comment, and Share! On Tuesday, August 5, 2014 between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. multiple vehicle burglaries occurred in the 5800-5900 block of Wind Cave Lane (Bartram Springs). Subsequent canvas of the area revealed a video from a residence nearby of a white male and another individual pulling on a door handle of a vehicle that was locked during this time frame. Entry was not made and nothing was taken from that vehicle. The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office is trying to identify these individuals. One of the vehicles burglarized on Wind Cave Avenue had a firearm stolen. The firearm stolen was later used to kill Tarpon Springs Police Officer Charles Kondek who was killed on Sunday, December 21, 2014.
