Indonesian crew went overboard in Manila Bay PCG: A 21-year old Indonesian seafarer was found lifeless by the Special Operations Unit of Port State Control Manila (PSCM) around 1:20PM yesterday. The victim identified as Adi Kurina Hidayat reportedly fell off TB Bewani I, an Indonesian registered vessel with nine crew, while it was docked in a port in Manila. Investigations revealed that the crew was about to disembark their cargo logs when the captain heard voices and commotion. Upon checking, the captain found out that one of his crew was missing. The incident was reported to Coast Guard PSCM by Elmer Santos and Ronald Escolasgo, local agents of Port Area Services Cargo. Hidayat was retrieved by the Coast Guard after the conduct of search and rescue operations. He was then turned over to St. Rich Funeral Home for proper disposition. The lifeless body of Hidayat was retrieved by the Special Operations Unit of PSCM after a search and rescue operation. He was turned over St. Rich Funeral Home for proper disposition.
