Inequitable property assessments in Duval County! I have made - TopicsExpress

Inequitable property assessments in Duval County! I have made comment before, but I will try this time to make a more compressed comment. It appears, based on my research, that homes with a value of under $400,000 are assessed accurately. It appears to me that homes with a value of over $400,000 are assessed here, normally, at far less than value. It appears that many million-dollars homes are assessed for tax purposes at only $500,000. If my claims are true, do you think this is important to fix? And do any of you agree with me that the city council should study this carefully before giving us any kind of tax increase? I claim that we can have more money for schools, more money for teachers, more fire stations, more cops, longer library hours, and a solution for the pension problems...with no new sales tax increase and with no new millage increase...if we just obey the Florida Constitution and begin to tax EVERYONE, even fatcats with million-dollar homes, at full value. If you think the city council ought to investigate my allegations right away, to prove I am right or to prove I am wrong, please click like and please click share.
