There will also be food, and musical entertainment by the Regime Willi Band. Free admission to the show only. August 23, from 10 am to 1 pm naturalist Lisa J. Sanchez will take you on a hike though Lancaster County Central Park to gather edible insects which you will then learn how to cook and eat. For more information contact the Lancaster County Environmental Center at 717-295-2055. There will be a $3 fee per person. August 24, from 7:30 pm – 9 pm Jonathon Boogie Long will bring his soul-stomping vocals and monster guitar shredding, along with his bluesy songwriting chops to the Long’s Park Amphitheater. August 25, from 8:30 pm – 9:30 pm join naturalist Lisa J. Sanchez once again as she takes you on a Summer and Full Moon Hike though the woods. August 27, from 6 pm – 7 pm the Lancaster Public Library will be hosting it’s monthly cooking demonstration. This month Tulsha from Upohar will demonstrate how to make Upohar’s Cucumber Aachar (spicy cucumber salad). Participants will have the opportunity to taste a traditional Nepali meal of rice, masoori dal and cucumber aachar.
