Info MEG study gulf war vets.... Denise Nichols Also the blood draw is optional and not released outside of the research that is not id by name or ss number. Not to go into VA records September 6 at 12:12am · Like Denise Nichols Priceline to get cheap flight and then there is a light rail system from airport to VA entrance takes maybe 5 minutes and a 1.50 round trip second stop from airport after FT Snelling...can be done in one day, they will provide housing overnight in bldg 10 if needed. September 6 at 12:30am · Edited · Like Denise Nichols They in blood draw are only looking at 2 genes they think might be answer of why some with same exposure and same location and one got sick and one did not. They are taking a full exposure history but not laying blame on any one exposure....or on blame the victim. But necessary to find out for the future protection of troops...and also to lead the way to a specific treatment. Again using the registry data as first step to review candidates for criteria. They had excellent cooperation from VA and DOD on getting those registry exams for the states of MINN., Wisconsin, Dakotas, and IOwa....they then did aggressive calling for recruitment! Any one have any questions on program at Minneapolis VA...anyone else participated in it? Or want to? September 6 at 10:38am · Like Denise Nichols So those that thought registry exam was useless, well the exams were used in their process to find vets to participate in this study September 6 at 11:02am · Like Denise Nichols Contact Kari Johnson at 612-467-1460. September 7 at 9:36am · Like · 1 Denise Nichols Please all this study would help to show the real damage in brain.....and huge numbers can be done. The test itself takes minutes less than 15 minutes. This could turn out good but we need large numbers, as it is they have probably the largest numbers we have seen in a study. This could be dx test proof we all need. Like I said in the country we have 20 machines in the country available re civilian. If study comes out positive then maybe we could open the doors to those other civilian machines to get diagnosis it would be step forward. So I am encouraging everyone try to participate in this....you can do it in a day. Three to four hrs max with the questionnaires and short exams.
