Info for 17th November 2014 PUPIL PANEL REPRESENTATIVES : A date for your diary: The next Pupil Panel meeting will be held on Wednesday 26 November during Period 1 in the library. Subgroup representatives (2 from each subgroup) , please be prepared to feedback on your groups progress since the last meeting. The agenda will be put on noticeboard nearer the time. LOST PROPERTY: Lost property will be disposed off at the end of the month – if you have lost anything please come and check the box from the janitors. GROUP PHOTOS : Hockey, Rugby, Football, Music, Showtime photos etc, order forms are available to pick up from the Music dept and PE Dept. The original photo is also displayed in each department to view. Please return order forms to reception by 28th November. SCOTTISH PARLIAMENT APPRENTICESHIP OPEN DAY - 21 NOVEMBER 2014 : The Scottish Parliament are looking to recruit 20 apprentices over the next four years with 11 apprentices in 2015 and the remaining 9 in 2016. Apprenticeships are open to anyone aged between 16-24 years old. Apprenticeships are being offered across a variety of roles in the Parliament including Business Administration, Customer Services, Human Resources, Facilities Management and IT. Applications open on Friday 21st November and close at midnight on Sunday 7th December. To find out more they are holding an Open Day at the Scottish Parliament building on Friday 21st November 2014 (10-1pm) where you will have the opportunity to meet with the staff and find out more about the apprenticeships on offer. S6 UCAS STUDENTS : Please note school deadline for student applications is 24th November. Your application form should be completed and paid for by this date. Mrs Catto and Myself will meet with students individually prior to completing the academic reference. Once the academic reference is completed , your application will then be sent by the school to UCAS. If you would like to discuss anything further please see Mrs Catto or myself . GALASHIELS ACADEMY RADIO : We are looking to set up a radio station for the Academy.
