Information about nomade people in the africa Morocco ! Nomadic people (Greek: νομάδες, nomádes, "those who let pasture herds"), commonly known as itinerants in modern-day contexts, are communities of people who move from one place to another, rather than settling permanently in one location. There are an estimated 30-40 million nomads in the world. Many cultures have traditionally been nomadic, but traditional nomadic behavior is increasingly rare in industrialized countries. Nomadic cultures are discussed in three categories according to economic specialization: hunter-gatherers, pastoral nomads, and "peripatetic nomads". Nomadic hunting and gathering, following seasonally available wild plants and game, is by far the oldest human subsistence method. Pastoralists raise herds, driving them or moving with them, in patterns that normally avoid depleting pastures beyond their ability to recover. Peripatetic nomads, who offer the skills of a craft or trade to those they travel among, are most common in industrialized nations. For thousands of years coexist the nomadic and settled forms of life in the civilization in most of parts of the world particularly at the dry belt (semidesert, steppe and desert). Exchange and conflicts between settled and nomads as well as accommodation and differentation have influences several areas of life. The life of nomads of Morocco changed the last decades in a profound way. A lot of nomads have the daily routine in a traditionally way. Others, especially the young try to succeed as migrant workers in the major cities. This transformation has new options for the youth but also risks. Having no education of school they risk to get in a cycle of poverty. In Northwest Africa the Berbers are the indigenous people. Many Berbers call themselve some variant of the word `Imazighen´, possibly meaning `free people´ or `free and noble men´. I spent some time with a nomadic family of the Berbertribe `Ait Serhouchen´ in the east of High Atlas in Morocco and visited a berber nomad living in the Sahara Desert. In my photographic project I want to show the different life forms and the changing life of nomadic people in different continents.
