NRM/Museveni overstay in power and moreover with no fundamental social and economic change especially in the area despite several promises 2. The absurd police intervention; (TEAR GAS) 34 years ago Yoweri Museveni mobilised the Luwero masses against the Obote regime on the pretext that the Kampala regime was harsh, intolerant and insensitive to the local people, they supported and helped the current regime to capture power in 1986. In 2014, the police under Gen Kale Kayihura storms Luwero peasants and showers them like crops... How else you expect the Luwero people to have reacted? 3. NRM internal wrangles; while its now official that Richard Todwong is the out rightly the SG of NRM, the camp of now the defunct Amama Mbabazi camp are not seated. NRM camp was given 2.2bn on a call orders of the party chairman Yoweri Museveni while he was in London. Now this money was to be the biggest problem for the ruling party mobilisers in Luwero. After Museveni order Brig Nalweyiso to dispatch 2.2bn to Acting SG Richard Todwong, instead Nalweyiso who still believes in the PM camp gave the money to Todwongs junior the party head of mobilisation Hassan Galiwango. This created a big rift as far the chain of command is concerned. The rest is history. Rose Namayanja who is also believed to be in the queue for the secretary general and has shown interest before worked against Todwong. Investigations now show massive transfer of funds via mobile money to Mbale destination where one of the NRM party finance holders in Luwero hails from. This NRM bigwig is constructing a mansion and his foremans phone number received these sums of money. There was massive fight for funds as the opposition was sealing its deal. Otherwise its now very understood that even the 20,000+ votes that NRM got were simply as a result of Gen Salim Salehs poultry project that he had launched recently. Saleh gave out about 50,000 hens. And with the above who would expect Rebecca Nalwanga to win?
