Injury blow for Chelsea ahead of new season!! Cape Town - Chelsea striker Didier Drogba was taken off the pitch during the Blues 2-1 victory over Hungarian side Ferencvaros yesterday. The Ivory Coast international suffered an ankle ligament injury after a collision with Ferencvaros keeper Denes Dibusz in the early stages of the game. The severity of the injury has yet to be confirmed, but reports suggest he may be ruled out for up to six months. Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho now faces a difficult situation as his only other striking options are uninspiring Fernando Torres and new signing Diego Costa, who is yet to prove himself in the English Premier League. Will the Special One take to the market yet again in search of another forward, and, if so, who will he look to bring to Stamford Bridge? Bad situation if its a lengthy lay off for the legend. I pray its not!
