Inky, ragged edged smudges of raincloud are skidding and skittering across a pale lavender grey backdrop, jumbling and tumbling eastwards while they shed their burdens, which are falling as light, soft summer rain onto this little patch of England - and one or two others to boot, no doubt... Its like micro-rain, this, tiny fine needles that barely splash on the skylight, almost invisibly adding to the multitude of little drop sized puddles gathering there, which are very slowly combining, only to fall idle as the supply of drops ceases... Damp rooftops gleam in the slowly strengthening morning light, although no trace of old sol can be seen at present, given the double layer of cloud... The bushes and shrubs, looking so vibrant and fresh after this gentlest of showers, offer only leaf-tip trembles to mark the soft sigh of a cool morning breeze whos passing troubles no more than these nervous leaves, leaving all else unstirred, save for the dazzlingly white hollyhocks, whose long thin stems sway gently as it passes through their ranks... Not a sunshine day at all, but beautiful in its own way - although I think the brolly may well be accompanying me when I step outside... :¬}
