Innocent Credibility Read: 1 John 3 Monday, July 22, 2013 Long ago in a faraway country of Plausibility there lived an imaginary tribe called the Credibles. They were known by this name because a fluid called credibility flowed in their veins instead of blood. In Plausibility, ppl had relationships with one another much as ppl do today. In our times, ppl sometimes shed blood in order to do away with a person. This is called murder. It is always wrong, but it is especially evil when an innocent person is murdered in this way. In the country of Plausibility, ppl shed an enemy’s credibility if they wanted to eliminate that person’s influence. This was also called murder. It was always considered wrong, but it was especially evil when an innocent person was murdered in this way. The most direct way to murder an enemy in the land of Plausibility was to plunge a knife of false accusation into his body. If everyone believed the accusation, the victim’s credibility flowed freely from the wound. Another tactic was to plant seeds of insinuation in an enemy’s garden. As theses seeds grew, the unsuspecting victim suffered loss of credibility. He would often be perplexed, unable to tell what was causing the damage. Yet another ploy was to deny a person forgiveness for their past wrongs. The credibility transfusion he so desperately needed to restore him to health was blocked, and the individual would languish in sickness and finally his reputation dies. Modern society sheds much innocent blood. This is a great evil. Some who are known as Christians do not hesitate to destroy another’s credibility. This is also a very great evil.
