Innovation Factory: Workshop and Pitching Sessions for Entrepreneurs 5 August 2013 On 5 August 2013 we will provide 20 entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their business ideas to an expert judging panel for a chance of winning seed capital, support from The Innovation Hub’s Maxum Incubator and much more. The main purpose of the pitching sessions is to strengthen participants’ understanding of how to successfully develop and pitch their business plans to potential investors by putting them in front of a judging panel of leading entrepreneurs, executives, acceleration programmes and venture capitalists who provide feedback in the business ideas themselves and the pitches. The pitching sessions will be preceded by a workshop that will focus on techniques for finding new ideas daily presented by serial social entrepreneur, Charles Maisel. Outcomes for Entrepreneurs: obtain the skills to innovate acquire the techniques to build new innovative brands have the opportunity to implement the innovative ideas within their own businesses Live Pitching Sessions 20 pre-selected entrepreneurs or start-ups will have the opportunity to pitch their idea to a panel of industry experts, consisting of: Incubation Programmes Funding Agencies Successful Entrepreneurs Venture Capitalists Academic Institutions Deadline for submissions is 22 July 2013.
