Innovation laboratory manager You will manage the laboratory team to ensure execution of method development, method validation, stability and routine testing activities on time and to the required standard. Assisting QA with compliance with regards to quality, GLP and safety requirements will also form part of your duties. Responsibilities: * Efficient operation of the laboratory in accordance with GLP and safety principles appropriate to a pharmaceutical facility * Ensure that the stability programme is properly coordinated, executed and that reports are signed off on time * Generate and maintain SOP’s in the laboratory * Ensure timeous sampling of raw materials, milled products and manufactured products and intermediates is performed correctly to GMP standards * Coordination of long-term optimisation of analytic, product and process improvement projects from a scientific perspective * Identification of areas for improvement within the laboratory or factory facility and conducting appropriate improvement projects * Ensure effective staff management in the department. Requirements: * MSc (Chemistry or equivalent) * Knowledge of GMP, GLP and lab safety * Knowledge of analytic method validation and stability testing criteria * Familiarity with Foodstuffs and Medicine regulations * At least three to five years’ experience in Research and development and people management * Innovative, you have great attention to detail as well as exceptional analytic and management skills.
