So here we are, the Civil Engineering Branch of GECB, bringing before you an opportunity to bridge the gap between your classrooms and reality...We proudly present before you “BRIDGE DESIGN AND FABRICATION WORKSHOP” The first of its kind in the capital city, this workshop is handled by the very renowned CIVIL SIMPLIFIED... Civil Simplified is the Civil Engineering division of Skyfi Labs which is founded by a group of IIT Kanpur Graduates working towards increasing the skills and employability of Engineering Students in India. They bagged various prestigious awards including: • 2nd Best Business Venture Award, Ideas, IIT Kanpur • 30 Most Promising Start-ups, Next Big Idea, IIM Bangalore • Runner up at UnLtd. India Growth Challenge 2013 for enterprises with Social Impact So u might ask...Why Civil Simplified? The following parameters ensure that their workshops are of the highest standards and the best-of-their-kind in the country. • Workshops are developed by graduates of IIT Kanpur • Experience of training more than 15000 students • All workshops are undertaken by carefully picked and trained full-time employees. • Certification and Awards: • The winners will get a chance to participate in the National level Bridge Design Competition • All participants will be provided with Certificate of Participation. • Merit Certificate for Best Design Award Best Fabrication Award Best Innovation Award • The winners of these award would receive a special certificate and a mention on their website at civilsimplified/participant-awards Online Examination: All participants are eligible for certification through an online examination. Students can undertake this online examination and students get additional certificate with their marks as a proof of learning. Highlights of the Workshop: • This workshop gives you a unique opportunity to experience a hands-on feel of a Civil Engineering project. • Interactive lecture sessions with good multimedia content. • Learn about different bridges and design techniques, • Bridge design contest is to provide participants with a realistic introduction to civil engineering. • Hands-on practical sessions on CAD based bridge design, fabrication and testing. • Interview tips and also help to face interview with confidence. Workshop Details: • 2 day workshop includes lecture, design session, fabrication and testing. • Cost: Rs.2300/- per team (A team consisting of two members) • Cost includes fabrication and training material. • A laptop per team is needed.
