Innovators choose to network with people who are NOT like themselves. That makes one slightly uncomfortable! It is much easier to remain in our own clan; those who think like us, talk like us, believe like us and live like us. The down-side is however, that we only reinforce what we already know. How can we get ourselves and our children out of our little box? Here are some suggestions: 1. Go take some games that dont require much English (Connect 4, Guess Who, cricket) and hang out with refugee children. 2. Take lessons in sign-language and go join a playgroup that caters for deaf children. 3. Travel overseas:-) 4. Chug along to a retirement village at craft or game time or lunch time!
