Q: Gud afternoon sir, may i ask question about poea demand $600 minimum salary per month for filipino maid how about the mom law coz my mdm say even i work here for so many yrs my salary cant increase to $600 last time she told me my salary is automaticaly increase when she ask me to sin n renew my new contract now im going to finish my contract again this coming nov.2 and im thinking if i renew again,sir can u give me some advice n info thank you Ans: MOM does not have any MIN WAGES RULE. POEA has min wages rule which is US$400 (Sg$525) per month plus 1 day off per week. So before you say yes to renewal of the contract, ask your employer to give you the raise, at least follow the PEOA standard contract. Insist on having an authenticated PEOA contract and insist employer follow that and you can demand $600 (by POEa rule must be min Sg$525), but you must agree with emploeyr before u say yes to renewal. or else, you ask the employer to give you release paper 1 or 2 month in advance b4 ur WP expires so that you can transfer to a new employer. All new hires coming from Pinas get paid min US$400 (Sg$525).
