Insert 47 My heart raced when i saw Buhle lying on the floor covered with blood. It seemed like she was bleeding a lot when i was at a distance, i rushed to her. Me: Oh my God, Buhle what happened? She pointed at the door, Sam got out running. I heard him shouting but i just couldnt follow him and leave Buhle like that. Me: Aaaah.....whe.....wheres my phone? I stood up running and went upstairs then called an ambulance. It seemed like it was taking too long and Sam wasnt back yet. I took Amandas car keys, I helped Buhle to get up but she was too weak. I had to carry her to the car ndisindwa ndinjalo. I locked the house then rushed to the car. I quickly took off to St.Dominics. When i got there i asked for help then she was rushed into a ward. Everything was happenening too fast i couldnt get what was happening. I was shaking out of fear. A nurse asked me what happened ndabe ndingazi nothing, all i could was cry. She gave me water then i calmed down. I took my phone then dialled Amandas number. Her phone rang a few times but she picked up. Amanda: Nana Me: You need to get to come to St.Dominics now Amanda: Why? Are you okay? Me: Im fine but Buhle isnt Amanda: Im on my way right now She hung up and i paced up and down the corridor trynna figure out what happened to her? After half an or so, Amanda came running to me. Amanda: Youre covered in blood, what happened? Me: There was too much blood, she was lying on the floor and....and *cries* Amanda: *hugs me* Shhhh, shell be fine We sat down as she was trying to calm me down. Amanda: Wheres Sam? Me: I dont know, he ran after someone thats all i know Amanda: Who? Me: Andimazi, when i saw her lying on the floor i asked what happened and she pointed at the door thats when Sam took off Amanda: Lets pray he doesnt hurt anyone Amanda called her parents and they said they were coming. We stayed there for about 2 hours , by now Mr and Mrs Nodipha wrer there already except for Sam. I was worried sick about him, i couldnt help it but think the worst. A doctor came to us and we all stood up. Doctor: Are you all Miss Nodiphas family? Amanda: Yes doc Doctor: Im doctor Booi and im the on- Mr Nodipha: Please get to the point? Is she fine Doctor: Uhhh...shes fine but she lost a lot of blood Amanda: What happened? Doctor: By the look of things she looks like someone who was stabbed. She has *pages through a file* 26 stitches Mrs Nodipha: *crying* Oh umntanam Me: *hugs her* Shes strong mama, shell pull through Mr Nodipha: Can we see her? Doctor: Okay ill let you see her, but she needs to rest Amanda: Thank you doc They all made their way to Buhles ward, i stayed behind because i wanted them to be alone with her. Sam got in a few minutes after they left. I was happy to see me alive. Me: Sam Sam: *hugs me* Hey baby Me: Ubuphi? Who were you shouting at? What happened? Sam: *kisses me* Calm down Me: I cant calm down Sam, Kwenzeke ntoni? Sam: Do you really wanna know? Me: Everything We sat down then he told me everything. He told me that the guy who did that to Buhle was her boyfriend...well he was her ex now because Buhle dumped him. But he didnt accept the news and he stabbed her. Me: How do you know all of this? Sam: Ndingu Samkelo kanye and no one, and i mean it no one will hurt the people i love. Me: Umenzeni? Sam: I had to re-arrange his face a bit Me: Is that all? Sam: Yes baby i promise Me: *hugs him* I was worried sick about you Sam: Im here now dont worry He asked me to go with him to Buhles ward sahamba ke though i didnt want to. We got to her ward, Mr and Mrs Nodipha and Amanda left us with her. She was sleeping, poor cutie. Luckily the bastard didnt do anything on her pretty face. We sat next to her bed and i saw a tear escaping Sams eye. He quickly wiped it away then looked down. Me: Shell be fine babe Sam: *sighs* Ndicela sithandaze please Me: Okay This was the first time i heard Sam talking about prayer. Its amazing how hard times bring us closer to God.
