Insidious and cruel...and the key to it all is no empathy. Heres a little life-lesson I learned the hard way...if your partner scores a zero on an empathy scale/test, DO NOT stay in the relationship! I dont care if you are 15 years old, 45, or 85...run, run, run as fast and as far away from them as you can. No matter who you are, or how well-educated you might be or however many credentials you have, you will not change them, you will not rub off on them, and you will not be able to fix them. You will only be abused by them eventually.
