Insights-for-life Dragonfly Insights Insects as totems are, in general, very ancient and primitive, but they can be very powerful allies because of their primal and direct connection to Spirit. Insects have connection to all the realms of nature, land, air, and water, as they can crawl, fly, and swim. Dragonflies perform all of these tasks and are very powerful animal spirits. Insects are the most diverse group of animals and perform very important functions in nature. They are very adaptable and can represent protection (due to their exoskeleton) and the ability to make life changes, due to their stages of metamorphosis. They are explorers, opportunists, and extremely adapt at survival. Dragonflies too hold all of these qualities. The Dragonfly, the horse, the turtle and even the cockroach have all been great teachers for me! *** Dragonfly (for obvious reasons) *** Horse - strength and freedom *** Turtle - protection and going inward *** Cockroach - emotional strength and survival (just think how much hate is directed at them every single day!!! Nobody likes them right?!?!?!?
