Inspired. That is what I feel after the absolutely, incredible, mind-blowing weekend at Terminus Festival!!! This is going to be a long post, but I need to do this :) Terminus is one of the best festivals we have ever played...maybe the best! As an artist, you cant help but be in awe of the truly amazing bands who participated. Everything from the legendary Daniel Myer, who not only performed as Architect, but came to the rescue to perform as Haujobb/DSTR due to the last minute cancellation of ISC. Even though it was sad not to see ISC, Daniel, Mike and Scott put on an amazing impromptu show! The special find of the weekend was Cygnets. Such a passionate and professional show. I cant believe they were the opening act for Sunday! They will go far I am sure. Author & Punisher, well, there are not enough words in the dictionary to describe this spectacular show of creativity and engineering! I was blown away!!! And finally we got to see Comaduster! Wow, Réal TC is truly a talented musician. I take my hat off you to, sir. 3̤̱͕͢ ̱̣͕̜̀͟͜T̹̜̗͈̠̼̀Ę̶̻E̵̢̤̩T̢̡͕̦̥̦͍̟̳̩ͅH̰̼̺͎ were so tight and cool! They rocked the house!!! Such energy and such nice guys too :) We enjoyed all the bands and I am sure I am forgetting to write my comments on some of the other amazing acts. Unfortunately we missed a few acts that we really wanted to see, like iVardenshere: Singularity, Die Warzau, [product], etc... Covenant (OFFICIAL), Psyche, Tactical Sekt, Chrysalide, Kevorkian Death Cycle, ADR, [:SITD:] all put on such incredible shows!!! I wish I could write a review of every single band. It was so great seeing Covenant in such an intimate setting. Eskil really captured the audience with his passionate performance. Daniel Jonasson was fantastic as always and it was a real treat seeing the new member Andreas perform live. Wow, it was interesting and powerful...and he inspired me to explore more methods for our show in the future :) Terminus is the biggest industrial house party in the world!!! Thats what it felt like. It had the atmosphere of a really cool party at someones house, with amazing bands added into the mix! That is rare and very very special. A few years back, there was another festival in the U.S. called Blacksun Festival. Terminus captures the same special feeling that Blacksun did. Its like a family and friends party. I will never forget the great conversations with artists, friends and fans. And those fans became our friends :) We loved the impromptu party outside the Hyatt, the 4am food run to Dennys (where we had a very interesting and confusing game of prime numbers), the lovely brunch at Thompsons Restaurant at the Hyatt with our friends, the soccer games, the incredible food we ate at ALL the Hyatt restaurants, and the little plastic goat named Terminus who was given to us by the wonderfully sweet Arthur Chocholacek :) And to top it all off, on the last night, we had the best meal of our lives at Briggs Kitchen and Bar!!! If you are ever in Calgary, you MUST go there and try the Newfs Poutine with lobster! It is to die for...honestly! And, Calgary had the best beer outside of Beglium! Wish I could remember the name of that beer I liked... I will just have to go back to get some more! Thank you SO much Chris Hewitt, Ambor Sheppard, Sarah Hewitt, Arthur, and all the amazing staff at Dickens Pub. You guys did a spectacular job! A weekend we will never forget...and we want to come back again soon :) Hey, we have a new album out next year, so how about it? ;) See you next year? Hope so!!! By the way, the one thing I regret is not taking enough photos, so if anyone has any photos they took, we would love to see them. I didnt have a camera, so I kept asking friends to take photos. If you could share them, that would be so cool :) A picture is worth a thousands words! We
