Inspired by the Ocean... Poem of the Day. My Sea My Ocean These eyes, these appendages of my heart Long to behold you for that Little, long and extended time- Just to sit or stand or lay beside you, Just to watch, to breathe you in- Just to be coaxed, cajoled, coerced By your mysteries. Just not to rush you As we learn to rush and therefore Miss, the little big things Because we are self-absorbed By Life’s Non-Sense! Just to be openly exposed to you Inside out and to be with you- For us to share and be alchemists And make time- For we are indeed the inventor of the clock And time, whether fast or slow Depends on a specific frame of mind, Heart and emotion. When in love we are timeless, ageless, Limitless, formless and we fly Like Icarus above all clouds- Only fear can melt our delicate wings, Come, let us be sensitive Vulnerable and fearless- This is where eternal beauty resides For life is beauty beyond the eyes. And when in the cold blanket Of sorrow and despair Time holds us prisoner and we Wallow in our trials and tribulations. And when in awe of life It matters not if there is no sunshine- All clouds and wind and storm Are…. handsome! I behold You My Sea, My rippling Waves My Ocean….. For within your company All seasons are imbued With expansive mood and mystery. Let me remove this mask These unnecessary threads And rush and plunge within Your depths and when I walk back To land all saturated and wet From head to toe, My lips dripping with the taste And flavor of You- I will have the memory of our swim Deep beneath and within my sensitive skin… My Sea, My Ocean… I Do Love You.
