A one day learning programme - organised by CO3 - that focusses on how Third Sector leaders and organisations measure their social impact. Leaders in the sector have a critical role to play to embed an impact approach throughout their work. This one day Masterclass will support charities and social enterprises to recognise what good impact practice looks like, and encourage good impact leadership so they can take steps to improve if necessary. Making a difference is at the core of all our work; our social value matters. This one day interactive course will consider the challenges we face of being able to measure the social value that we create. Delivered by Eleanor Harrison, the Chief Executive of GlobalGiving UK, a digital charity that works with 427 grassroots partners in 89 countries worldwide, Eleanor will share her experiences of being involved in the Inspiring Impact programme in England & Wales. Eleanor will bring her unique insight and expertise in supporting a range of Third Sector organisations to introduce social impact measurement to their organisations. ‘We all create value in many different ways. Creating an understanding and being able to account for social value ultimately means that we clearly communicate where and how the difference we make in a credible way’. Eleanor Harrison, the Chief Executive of GlobalGiving UK Reporting on social impact helps Third Sector organisations remain accountable to their donors, investors, commissioners, local communities and most importantly their beneficiaries. It will look at the Code of Good Impact Practice, a guiding framework for applying an impact practice approach within the sector, and an online Measuring Up tool designed for organisations to assess their own impact practice and develop an action plan to improve their practice
