Inspiring blog on eco-printing fabric, I love her enthusiasm and creativity, one process inspires another, until every element of the scrap plant material has been made into art...: The silk was immersion-dyed a cinnamon colour first in a lichen bath (Parmelia saxatilis), then with safflower, (oops – vice versa, actually), overprinted with geranium leaf, iron dipped and embroidered.... After dyeing the fabric in the pot with iris leaves, I set about making paper from the leaf fibres. I was pretty sure by then that any paper made from iris leaves would be green.... Next time: The Iris Book: with iris flower eco prints and iris leaf papers. This turned out to be serious Eye Candy for me! Next time: The Iris Book: with iris flower eco prints and iris leaf papers.
