Inspite of the legal flaws in his case, the judges turned blind eye on their own law on which they pride themselves as they were determined not to let go an Indian easily & put up an examples. The 18 years old Khudiram on hearing the execution just smiled. On being asked by the judge whether he understood the pronouncement, he replied he very well did and asked for a little time as he wished to teach the judge bomb making. The dumbstruck judge ordered his taking away. He was the first martyr among armed revolutionaries. After his death sentence a kind of competetion arose among Indian youth to sacrifice their lives for the Motherland. RIP! Vandematram! Jai Hind!
