Insta News Congress takes a potshot at AAP over Rakhi Birlas Rs 7L demand New Delhi: Congress on Wednesday took a potshot at the Aam Aadmi Party, a day after after one of AAPs candidates returned Lok Sabha ticket alleging that Rakhi Birla had asked him for money in return for campaigning for him. On Tuesday, the AAP withdrew the candidature of Mahendra Singh from the North West Delhi Lok Sabha constituency for alleged involvement in criminal cases. Former Delhi minister Rakhi Birla will be fielded from the seat, a party official said. However, Singh had another story to tell. He alleged that Birla had refused to campaign for him and also demanded Rs 7 lakhs from him. Reacting to news, AICC in-charge of Delhi Shakeel Ahmed on Twitter said: EC has raised limit to RS 70 lakh for LS.In Delhi 1 LS seat=10 ACs.Rakhi Birla was right if she asked for 7 lakh from AAP candidate.7x10=70. — Shakeel Ahmad (@Ahmad_Shakeel) March 19, 2014 The Aam Aadmi Party has been facing embarrassment as many members are either resigning from the party or returning their tickets. After Ashok Agarwal resigned from the party, AAP Faizabad candidate Iqbal Mustafa, and Moradabad candidate, Khalid Parvez, have refused to contest elections. Singer Jaspinder Narula too resigned from the AAP on Tuesday.
