Instant karma got me, but in a good way. I love to thrift shop. Probably because my mother threw out everything old and gave away my Barbie dolls the first year I went away to college, So now I go to estate sales for fun and profit and being a psychic does help. My friends call me the psychic shopper. If I am looking for something I usually find it. Let go and let shop. But it is a war out there! Years ago I met woman while shopping in LA who was the DJ for the Chicago underground radio station in the 60s and now we were in LA going to garage sales. When I complained to her that someone else got something I wanted, needed, wanted, she told me to say to myself “I only want what belongs to me. This mantra has helped me get through many of life’s traumas not just thrifting. A few weeks ago I was shopping for wine glasses and flower vases as mine had been broken in my recent move. I dont drink but I have some friends who do so... I was at one of my favorite haunts, a church thrift shop in my old neighborhood. They always have great stuff because the church members who donate are very wealthy. Eat the Rich! I ran into a former neighbor of mine who used to be a friend but I grew to become leery of her over the years. She was very friendly this day and seemed be helping me find what I was looking for. She found a couple of vases showed them to me. I was excited. 1950s Hoosier glass from the 50s for 25 cents. Suddenly she tells me she is going to buy them. Then I went over to the wine glasses and they had many crystal, real ones for three bucks a glass not bad until I spotted some others, nice ones for one dollar and I picked up two of them, (Drink the Rich), when she came over grabbed the rest of them right out from under me! I suddenly am having a flash back to my sisters taking all of my moms crystal after she passed. So... I flipped my lid and let her have it. Years of pent-up pissed offness came spewing out of my mouth! You always had to have what I have! You even copied my name! I have been the Mystic of Cave Creek for decades and now you have to be the Goddess of Cave Creek. She grabbed her goodies and ran out the back door! I was embarrassed now the clerk in the store who knew me teased me about it but I had injured myself! So I left the store. But my guides are with me. a few weeks later I go to local sales closer to where I live now and find not one Hoosier vase but a dozen. Then came the flood of crystal! First I found two Baccarat Champagne glasses for a buck a piece. Then I found Lenox wine glasses also a buck a piece, Then 6 Spode wines for 4 dollars and today 6 Baccarat Dom Perignon champagnes for a dollar a piece and 25% off as it was senior day. The spirits showed me. I only got what belonged to me. By the way they are for sale of someone wants some really nice holiday gift
