Instant replay is going to kill baseball. I am watching the Sox game. The Twins have a runner on first with nobody out. Fly ball is hit to short center. Its caught. During the process of transferring the ball from the glove to his hand so he can throw the ball back-in, the center fielder drops it. No big deal. The runner on first looks and trots back to first. Ball comes back in to the pitcher. But the umps call time. They review the play. Four and one-half minutes later they overturn the play! They put runners on first and second even though the runner didnt advance during the play and the ball was caught. If this is where baseball is heading, Im through with it. To call for a review on a play like that is the stupidest thing I can imagine.
