Instead of allowing Democratic input on the border crisis, Speaker Boehner has chosen the extreme right’s “my way or the highway” agenda to dictate America’s response to an urgent humanitarian crisis. I am proud to stand with Congressman Jim McGovern, our Massachusetts delegation and other Democrats to demand an end to this pandering and instead take a vote on Comprehensive Immigration Reform – a bi-partisan bill supported by over 636 business organizations, including the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, religious leaders, law enforcement officers, diverse advocacy organizations and much of the technology industry.
