Instead of buying a new quilt, I bought myself a new quilt cover made with beautiful flowery fabric and secured with closely spaced buttons on one end. Then I put the top end of the quilt at the top of the bed -- foolish me. I just realized that Gingi-stinkerpoo figured out how to squeeze himself between the buttons and sleep inside the quilt cover. Now the question du jour is whether to move the quilt around so the buttons are hanging off the end of the bed (and short stop his efforts to get inside) or whether to resign myself to the fact that he wants inside and will eventually ruin this quilt cover no matter what I do??????
