Instead of engaging us as stipulated in Law,the State has peddled falsehoods, Lies and propaganda to Whittle down our rightful push for better pay. We wish to inform the powers that be that BOTH KNUT & KUPPET WILL BE SIAMESE TWINS IN THIS WAGE BATTLE! Kaimenyi,Lengoiboni &. Nzomo who incidentally doesnt know that her mandate as chairman TSC does not involve Lording over teachers, must STOP their Cheap propaganda and hate speech against Union Leadership.Common sense dictates that they get back to the drawing table and work hard towards tabling reasonable counter proposals to the KNUT/KUPPET demands. Poisoning the minds of Kenyans against the UNION leadership is defeatist. Kenyans know the truth. 1. The total annual teacher salary bill is 161 billion not 865 billion. 2. Our quest for a salary rise is driven by - Loans are based on the basic salary(Both Saccos or Bank) - Car loans & mortgages are given on the basis two thirds of the basic salary. -A salary is the compensation a worker receives for labour. Let Kaimenyi stop LYING that we are fighting for salaries because UNIONS WILL EARN COMMISSIONS FROM SALARIES BUT NOTHING FROM ALLOWANCES. This IS NOT ONLY CALLOUS BUT ILL MEANT. LET them Explain why A TSC cleaner/clerk is now earning the same salary as a graduate teacher at job group K. Job evaluation is not entrenched anywhere in law as a prerequisite to raising salaries. Let KENYANS KNOW THE TRUTH. SHAME ON GOVERNMENT.
