Instead of so-called, free 2 year community college for everyone, we would do far better to create a new system of zero income and payroll taxes on wages and salaries for everyone. If we really want to make a HUGE difference in peoples everyday lives, we need to keep more disposable money directly in the hands of the citizenry. Even better, by doing so, we will create a more robust, incentivized economic environment that produces a greater multitude of well-paying jobs once people complete 2 or 4 years of college. Currently, we have far too many over-educated, underemployed millennials struggling and unable to find their way in our over-burdened, state-centric economy. Remember, this new system is NOT about the same old tired debate of MORE vs. LESS taxation, it is about creating the experience of vastly DIFFERENT, more citizen and economy-friendly taxation. It is about positive empowerment for everyone!
