Instead of working with Democrats to address the unprecedented numbers of unaccompanied minors crossing the border, Republican leadership decided to focus on legislation that will not address this crisis and does not move us toward passage of meaningful legislation. We must find a way to meet the immediate challenges for these children and then reform our nations broken immigration laws to maintain border security and resolve the uncertainty for millions of undocumented residents.
