Insurance companies make me sick. Ive owned my house for almost 5 years. I pay for the premium insurance package. We have been renting it out for the last two years, the current renter is a developer that hasnt moved in yet (so the house is vacant at the moment). We recently got a water bill from the city for a total of $4,600. Long story short, a pipe broke in the crawl space and there and the whole basement was filled. We called our insurance adjuster and he basically said were shit out of luck because the house was vacant at the time. Why pay the premium insurance package if we dont get covered anyways? Not to mention, he tracked mud all over my perfectly clean, empty house. I have paid insurance faithfully for 5 years, and when a disaster strikes, they arent there to cover me. What bullshit.
