Intensive grazing. At Harmony Jack Farms, we practice holistic resource management. Allan Savory developed a method of grazing which improves soil, is healthier for the livestock and reclaims pastureland from desertification. During intensive grazing, cattle are moved through small sections if pasture called cells. Every 3-4 days, the cows at HJF get fresh pasture. It takes effort to move them so often but its worth it because we are improving our pastures and raising great beef cattle.
